Cranes are very reliable as they operate at 25% to 50% capacity when lifting lights. They are designed to lift loads, while condors are built as access platforms for a man and his tools only. Modern condors come equipped with micro-processor controlled safety systems that are designed to sense overcapacity and will shut themselves down when overloaded.
 
Starlite's top-hung baskets have no restrictions. Our baskets can take full capacity on any side of the basket, while condors are limited to full rated unrestricted capacity only when lamps are mounted to the backboard, lamps mounted in any other positions on the basket call for de-rating of load capacity according to the manufacturers specifications . In addition, the jib equipped condors revert to 500 lbs rating if the jib is turned off center.
